Here is my story:
I purchased a new build property from Higgins Homes at a cost of £343,100. I paid 10% deposit. I had a formal mortgage offer. Higgins Homes did not complete on schedule and my mortgage offer expired and was not renewed due to the banking crisis. I failed to secure another mortgage and new build property prices crashed. I found myself in breach of contract. Higgins Homes began High Court proceedings against me.
